February 2026: Beneath the Yurakucho Overpass, Early Spring's Breath and Winter's Luxury
Now that February has arrived, signs of spring are starting to appear under the Yurakucho overpass. That said, the nights are still quite chilly. And that’s exactly when Shin Hinomoto (Andies) comes into their own.
This month’s highlights at Toyosu Market include “Kinmedai” (red seabream), which is at the peak of its fat content, and “Tara-bagan” (king crab), packed with meat. We’ve also started receiving shellfish that offer an early taste of spring. Enjoy them as sashimi, grilled over charcoal, or in a heartwarming hot pot. After a day of shopping in Ginza or Marunouchi, or on your way home from work, savoring these delicacies with a cold beer or a pint of Guinness is the ultimate luxury—enough to make you forget the winter chill.
Preparations for our new website are currently well underway. We are evolving our brand to better convey our 80-year tradition to you in a more accessible way. Tonight, Andy and the entire staff look forward to welcoming you with a smile under the red brick walls in Yurakucho!
